CastSurf Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026

CastSurf ("the app") is made by Chamomile Studio. This page explains what the app does with information. The short version: the app has no server of its own, and we never receive your data.

1. What we collect

Nothing. CastSurf has no backend, no accounts, and no analytics of our own. We do not collect, transmit, or store personal information.

The following is kept on your device only:

This is deleted when you delete the app. It is never sent anywhere, including to us.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

When you use CastSurf for free, ads are shown through Google AdMob. To serve ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect device information such as the advertising identifier, IP address, and device model. See Google's Privacy Policy and how AdMob uses data.

iOS asks for your permission before apps can track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalized. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

3. Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are handled entirely by the Apple App Store. The app cannot see your payment details. It only asks Apple whether an active subscription exists. Payment information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Your local network and your content

5. Notifications

The app may ask permission to send notifications. It uses this for one thing: telling you that screen sharing paused for an ad while you were in another app. Notifications are created on your device — there is no push server.

6. Web browsing

The built-in browser loads pages you choose. Those sites set their own cookies and follow their own privacy policies, exactly as they would in Safari. CastSurf does not send your browsing anywhere, and it does not recommend or bundle any site.

7. Children

CastSurf is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
